Boosted by Rebels Caderyn Neville and Cruze Ah-Nau the doggies have scored their first win of the season in an impressive way against Power House today.
The host have dominated the game in almost every aspect, leaving the visitors the crumbles in the dying minutes of the game.
Footscray put early pressure on the visitors but wasn't able to score, Imo missed a penalty kick from 40 meters and the territorial dominance wasn't giving any points, until second rower Williams found the right hole in a since then composed Power House defence. Imo slotted the conversion for the 7 - 0 deserved lead.
The floodgates opened after that and the doggies were able to score other 2 majors before half time.
Indicative of Power House bad day was the third score. With an easy penalty in front of the posts Power House decided to play at hand, lost the ball at the breakdown and saw the doggies cover the complete field to score a try with Rebel Cruze Ah-Nau.
In the second half the tone didn't changed, with Footscray and Rebel Neville on the rampage. The backrower, today at inside flank, scored 3 tries in the second half showing both power and positioning. In-between hi scores flyhalf Imo, who was pretty accurate from the tee and combined very well with scrum half Yamada to feed the backs with quality balls, broke the line of the visitors to score under the sticks.
Ahead 45 - 0 the doggies eased the pressure and Power House scored twice to sweeten a bit an hard day in the Scray.
Several Rebels were in attendance, with Bryce Hegarty, Colby Fainga'a assistance coach Matt Cockbain on the sideline and former Rebels Cooper Vuna spinning the records at the very successful  'ladies day' tent.
